Christian Drummers Arise
I've been on the internet for some time now. In the last decade We all have been noticing a rapid change in the nature of how people are hooking-up with the internet.. With faster speed and more broad-band access its almost unbelievable how fast a change it's becoming..People are getting more educated and now resources that were once expensive are monetarily reaching the threshold of the common man. We have finally reached the beginning of the age of transparency. It's time for the Church of Jesus Christ to reach a level of excellence that the rest of the world cant turn there heads away from. David B. Warner
"DRUMS are a way that you can connect with people, if you are not able to minister to them. They allow people to recharge and bring out their inner spiritual warrior in their time of praise.
Playing the drums for me, helps me escape for a little while. Kind of like when I play football, when I step on the field; I don't have a care in the world, and that's the same way I feel when I sit behind my drum kit.
The bible says in PSALMS 150: Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
So, every time I play regardless if I'm just practicing or playing in service, I play according to the scripture - DRUMS are my way of praise." Ray Williams
"Drums are important in faith works because its a way people can express themselves. Its loud and gets peoples attention, that's what we need to do is get peoples attention about God." Joelle Wheeler
"Drums & percussion not only keep the beat, but set the mood & theme, dictate the light and shade of a piece, drive the tempo, arouse emotions & much more". Steve Perrim
"Drums are what get the people going. A good drum solo can get people up and jumping. Which leads to clapping. Which leads to all around fun and joy!!! Praise the Lord and keep beatin those drums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ryan Shelby Anderson
" Playing the drums have really been an important aspect of my life. I think that drums are biblical. When it talks about the drums in the Bible it uses the term timbrel which is a drum. My mentors in life all seemed to highly esteem the drums. The late Harold James Smith who was Dimas Shekarian's side kick, would have me to solo on the drums when there was no other music. He played the tambourine. Now my pastor has me to solo on the drums every service. I simply worship the Lord.
One thing I love to do is to get by myself and just worship the Lord with my drums. When I moved to the south it was almost taboo to play the drums in church. Now nearly in every church there is a set of drums waiting on someone to play them.
When you approach the drums with a heart of worship, it will become the most beautiful experience. I can compare nothing else to it. My life can get so frustrating. There is nothing like beating your frustrations out in worship to the Lord on a set of drums.." David B. Warner
